Chabad of Contra Costa has experienced tremendous growth and expansion this past year. This past summer our Camp Gan Israel of Contra Costa had a record enrollment with the most children ever. Additionally, our Gan Yiladim preschool is now at near capacity based on our current space and staff.
The challenge we've been faced with is our limited space which limits the number of programs we can do all out of the same space and the capacity we have for those programs.
To that end we've developed architectural and engineering plans which we've submitted to the county for a two story expansion of over 2,400 square feet that will include two new preschool classrooms on the ground floor and a lounge and much needed additional space on the second floor that will greatly assist us in meeting our current needs and make room for future growth.
Over the past year we've been able to take the initial steps and prerequisites, we're working with the county on some necessary revisions. We've also made many necessary upgrades including a major plumbing overhaul, landscaping and renovations.
We are very hopeful to get our permits within a few short months when we'll be able to finally break ground.
To help us reach our goal, our very generous matching donors have committed to match every dollar donated to help us reach an initial goal of $150,000 toward our building expansion campaign.
That means every $1 you give, Chabad of Contra Costa receives $2!!!
$100 grows into $200!
$180 grows into $360!
$500 grows into $1000!
$1,000 grows into $2,000!
$1,800 grows into $3,600!
$5,000 grows into $10,000!
